Is the threat of global warming real.

We know a great deal about atmospheric physics, and from the onset, many of the claims were just plain fishy. The extreme haste with which seemingly the entire world immediately accepted the idea of Anthropogenic ( man-made ) Global Warming made us more than a little bit suspicious that no one had really taken a close look at the science. We also knew that the catch-all activity today known as "Climate Science" was in its infancy, and that atmospheric modeling did not and still does not exist which can predict changes in the weather or climate more than about a day or two in advance.

Global warming is widely believed to be the main cause of rising average global temperatures.

The past prophets of doom have all been wrong, so it is reasonable toexpect today’s doom-mongers to justify their arguments. And this is especiallythe case when they attack something so clearly beneficial to mankind asthe use of fossil fuels. But imagined risk is not rational, so reasonableexpectations do not apply. The simple fact that it is physically impossiblefor COemissions to cause man-made global warminghas no effect on imagined fear of global warming.

That problem goes by the name of global warming.

In reality, global warming isn't really all what it has been exaggerated to be.

There is an overwhelming consensus amongst scientist that human activities from countries around the world are primarily responsible for global warming due to the use of fossil fuel, pollution, and deforestation....

(sigh...) It ends with Hurricane Katrina and Boston almost losing the pennant. It is Hollywood at its finest, and the Deacons of La La Land give it an Oscar. Even the Nobel Committee is impressed, gives it two thumbs-up and a Nobel Prize to Gore and the other members of the IPCC for the many lives that will be saved in the future because of this brilliant early warning. And, there's still time for we miserable humans to "save" the planet by buying "carbon offsets" accomplished best by investing in Al Gore's British company which buys stock in other companies that will benefit from a world-wide global warming hysteria (keeping a healthy cut) and making, perhaps, Al Gore the richest former Vice President in history. That will buy a lot of SUV's, jets, and large mansions with mega-electric bills. Everyone wins except the taxpayer and businessman, who are soon to pay a very heavy price.

Global warming is the greatest challenge facing our planet

Once upon a time everyone talked about the Ozone Layer; now you rarely hear about it. That doesn’t mean it’s status does not weigh heavily on global warming. Quite the opposite, its continued destruction by geo-engineering has only accelerated the depletion of this vital buffer against damaging radiation from the sun. You can imagine how much cooler the high concentrations of O3 keeps the surface of the planet by absorbing so much ultraviolet radiation.

What he probably doesn't know is that mother nature puts 24,000 times that amount of our main greenhouse gas -- water vapor -- into the atmosphere every day, and removes about the same amount every day. While this does not 'prove' that global warming is not manmade, it shows that weather systems have by far the greatest control over the Earth's greenhouse effect, which is dominated by water vapor and clouds."

Global Warming: Causing Worldwide Weather …

A rational assessment of appropriate policies would include cost/benefitanalysis, but imagined risk is not rational. All the proposed responsesto the imagined risk of man-made global warming would increase starvationand poverty while inhibiting economic development throughout the entireworld. And COemissions would not be reduced andmay be increased. In practice, politicians are accepting the predictionsof climate models as being predictions of the future, and they are actingto change that future. This is similar to the behaviour of people who believehoroscope predictions of future harm so they avoid situations where thatharm could happen.
