This scholarship will be awarded annually to a current AU undergraduate student who has successfully completed the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) process.
Students must be enrolled in an AU degree program, have a cumulative AU GPA of 3.60 or higher at an undergraduate level, be within 30 credits of completing their undergraduate degree program and have not received this award previously.
Applicants will be asked to write a short essay (1000 words) explaining the contribution of the PLAR process to their success as learners.

Awarded to Athabasca University (AU) undergraduate degree program students who have achieved a program GPA of 3.60 or higher in the last 30 credits that contributed to the program benchmark. The 30 credits can be a combination of transfer credit and a minimum of 15 AU credits.
Only the AU courses that students have completed toward undergraduate credential will be used in the GPA calculation.
Students will be notified by the Office of the Registrar when they have qualified for the Honours List. Athabasca University does not recognize Honours List recipients on the official student record.
Students must meet the following conditions to be deemed eligible for the Honours List:
a. Be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
b. Have completed a minimum of 15 AU credits at the program benchmark.
c. Have reached a program benchmark in their program in the six month time periods ending June 30 or December 31.
d. Have achieved a grade point average of 3.60 or higher on the AU credits earned since the previously recognized program benchmark up to the current program benchmark (e.g. 1-30 credits or 31-60 credits or 61-90 credits, or 91-120 credits).
e. Have any combination of transfer credit and a minimum of 15 AU credits that are collectively recognized towards an undergraduate credential. A "P" indicating a pass in pass/fail grade mode contributes towards credit earned, but is not included in the GPA calculation.
f. Not have any current penalties associated with academic or non-academic misconduct on their student record.
